TWO Cute!

I cannot believe that Hazel is turning two years old in a month and a half! Can YOU?

TWO!!

When I was in second grade, I think, maybe third, my amazing mom had arranged for a limo to pick up my friends and myself from school for my birthday that year. My mom and sister had planned a scavenger hunt party at the mall. On our way there we watched the new movie that had just released called Spirit. It's basically about a wild mustang who cannot be tamed, if you didn't know. A great movie with an amazing soundtrack. Anyways, there is now a Netflix original series based on this movie called Spirit: Riding Free. It's about a girl, Lucky, who moves to the frontier with her father, who works on the railroad, and her aunt. On the train ride to their new home, Lucky sees a horse running with his herd. She's determined to "train" this horse even though she knows nothing of horses or riding, but the horse will not tolerate a saddle nor does he trust humans, just like the original Spirit. Well, this horse learns to trust Lucky and allows her to ride him bareback, and only her. She later names the horse Spirit. It's a very cute show and Netflix later released quite a few spin-offs of their Spirit show.

All this to say, Spirit is the theme for Hazel's second birthday. It was the first TV show that she was allowed to watch and she did from beginning to end and LOVED it. So as her first real show, I thought it'd be cute to use Spirit for her birthday. It's going to be amazing. I went on the hunt for Spirit theme decorations and found quite a few things to my surprise.

I also found the perfect Spirit plates, cups, napkins, and a table cloth. Jared and I have been thinking about the cake and I think we're just going to keep it simply decorated with "Happy Birthday, Hazel" and the topper.
