A Family Project

Yesterday was the first official day in our new house! We rented a small U-Haul to get our stuff from the apartment to the house and spent most of the day finishing up painting the living room cut-in and the trim. The entire family was involved and we're so grateful that they were able to help us.

My brave, brave momma got up on the extension ladder and helped finish the cut-in work to the ceiling. I know I would not have been able to do that.

Don't mind the husband or the dog...she looks quite uncomfortable ha!

Anyways...look at this beautiful wall color!! This is the Gray Owl that I've been posting about and SOOO excited to finish. It looks amazing and with this floor!

How we have this set up will pretty much be how we'll keep it. The space where I'm standing next to Biggie's gray chair will be our sectional we found at Ashley Furniture. We're super excited to get it!

My sister will eventually be taking that white sofa so we're either going to eventually get another loveseat like that one or another chair. What are your votes?

Look at this dresser my mom and sister found for us! I LOVE it!!! We're going to keep it here in the living room under the tv. The tv will be mounted on the wall at some point and the dresser will be painted. We're just not sure what color yet.

This deep teal color is similar to what my sister recommends we paint the dresser.

So far, I've organized our movies in the middle section. Yes, I'm crazy and spend extra time organizing our DVD's alphabetically.

I also thought about getting cute labels or having my sister make me labels to put on the front of the drawers that say, for example, "A-G" and so on.

This blue is the "lighter" blue that they painted on that outside kitchen wall and in the kitchen. Look how dark it still is! That wall to the left was even darker than that before we painted it Gray Owl. This outside part of the kitchen is going to be ____ and inside the kitchen will be Sherwin Williams Sea Salt.

I think our bedroom turned out super cute too and Biggie has the perfect little space for her bed. We were able to finish the paint job in our bedroom in about 2 hours.

It's a sea of boxes in there right now, but it'll come together. The dressers that we have fit perfectly right where we wanted them!

My sister and my mom helped me think of ideas for the bathrooms and I can't wait to share them with y'all! I think the next thing we do is going to be the guest bathroom so stay tuned!
