Talk About Your Siblings

One question that is asked a lot by a stranger one may just be meeting is "do you have any siblings?". I know I've gotten this question quite a bit and I've always been so proud to say that I have an older sister, Allie.

There's always times when the siblings are younger and don't always quite get a long and there's bickering or fighting back and forth about this or that. But, the bond between siblings is everlasting. Even through the quarrels there's always love, and in the end they're always together.

Except for the time I remember my sister giving me a warhead when I was maybe four years old.

That's a different kind of love right there. HA!

Aside from that, once we both got a little older we stopped the stupid fighting and pretty much always got along. Allie now has an amazing husband and two little girls, making me so proud and happy to be an aunt!

The older sibling is the person the younger one always looks up to. I know I did, and still do. When I was younger I wanted everything that Allie had. I hung out with her group of friends at church instead of making my own closer to my age. I also taught myself piano and started singing more because Allie is amazing at both. I copied her strange high school fashion sense and wore my belt outside of the belt loops and sideways. Is that something people did three years down the road once I got to high school? I don't know, but it's what my sister did when she was in high school, so it must've been cool.

It was one of the happiest moments for me, and I'm sure our mom, when I heard that we would both be moving back to FL. It was tough living apart from Allie for so long when she was in IN and I was here, then I moved to AL.

See, in the end, they always end up together.

All I have to say is that I have the coolest sister ever. Allie is a woman of many talents and is amazing at everything she puts her mind to. She can cook, play piano, and sing. She's amazing at interior design, she can draw, and has amazing calligraphy.

*put water bottle up to eye* Que pasa?!
