Favorite TV Series

Well, just like with the movie I have a lot of favorites and it's hard to pick just one. I will share my top four tv series that I absolutely LOVE and I can watch (and have watched) over and over.

Number 1: The Walking Dead (AMC)

I'm not talking about any of the million spin-off series they've created, but THE Walking Dead. My sister told me about this show way back when it first started and I fell in love it after episode one.

It's the perfect zombie (walker) and human show. It has the perfect kind of horror that's not too scary to watch. It's more of a people driven show than it is humans fighting the dead.

I religiously watched every episode live Sunday nights at 9:00pm and I did that all through 8 seasons. Then I kind of stopped watching it and would just see an episode here and there due to many reasons. One being Rick leaving.

Then just maybe a couple months ago I decided to rewatch the series and oh my goodness I forgot how good it was!! Every year on New Years or before a new season or for October Fear Fest they show marathons so I've rewatched probably the first four or five seasons a million times. But, the last three to four seasons I had a hard time watching. This time around, I've watched the WHOLE thing and it's SO good! I'm already almost done with season nine so I just have the newest season ten to watch and I'll be all caught up.

I am really glad they're finally bringing this show to an end after season 11 and I'm SUPER excited to see what this Daryl and Carol spin-off is going to entail!

Number 2: Santa Clarita Diet (Netflix Original)

Yes, I know, another zombie show, but look at those actors. You know it's bound to be hilarious with Drew Barrymore and Tim Olyphant.

IT'S SO FUNNY!!!! And I'm SOOO mad they canceled this show after three seasons.

But, seriously, if you have Netflix...watch it!

Basically it's about this couple and their daughter. Drew and Tim's characters are realtors who are in the middle of showing a house to sell and suddenly Drew's character starts profusely vomiting (while showing the house). So, she goes into one of the bathroom and continues vomiting to her tragic death.

You guessed it...she comes back as a zombie. But she's not your typical zombie. She looks and acts just like a human...except for the fact that she likes to eat them. The bulk of the show is about the family trying to figure out what happened to her while keeping her under the radar of her nosey neighbors.

Trust me, it's hilarious.

Number 3: Switched at Birth (Free Form)

The title says it all. These two high school teenagers were switched at birth and Bay, the brunette, is the one that realized it and decided to take a DNA test with her "mom". The girls meet their biological parents and the families end up living together to make up for lost time with the daughters. Yes, it's a teenage drama and there is stupid drama, but if you can get past that and just watch the show for the relationships, love, laughter, and the language...that's the beauty of this series.

One of the main reasons why I love this show so much is because more than half of this show consists of ASL and I think we all know how much I love the language. There are a few actors in this show who are Deaf and Katie Leclerc, the redhead, is hard of hearing in real life due to Meniere's Disease.

This show has such in incredible cast and I'm sad that it couldn't go on longer, but they make a perfect ending that makes me cry every time I watch it.

Number 4: Jane By Design (Free Form)

Yes, I know, another teenage drama, BUT! Free Form had nothing like this before which made the series super unique and it was so good! It was another one that Free Form canceled after only one season. Fans never got to find out what happened to Jane and Billy! I just imagine that they ended up together because they were totally destined for each other <3

So, Jane Quimby (on the left) is your typical high schooler living with her older brother, has one best friend, Billy, and a fabulous taste in fashion. She decides to get an internship in the city with Donovan Decker Fashion working under Gray (on the right). The problem is this "internship" turned out to be an application for an actual job with the company while everyone thinks she's an adult college student. Jane plays it off after hearing the kind of money she'll be making and continues on with her double life battling the drama and bullies at her school and the bigger bullies at her job.

It was such a good show!
