Write About Today

If I had written this when I was supposed to, then I would've written on a day that I was sick so I decided to wait until I was feeling better. I missed three days of work this week and finally felt good enough to get back to work yesterday.

So, today is Saturday October 24, 2020. Today is technically supposed to be day 24 for the writing challenge, but I got off track a little bit. I worked a normal day today from 7:30-12, but let's back up even a little further to when I left the house this morning.

I woke up at my usual time on Saturdays at 5:30am and did my normal morning routine consisting of coffee and couch time. I then left my house a little earlier for work than usual so I actually had time to go get even more coffee and I decided to do my shopping at Publix. It's so nice that my work is in the same plaza just a few businesses down. I was happy that I went because I hate having to go right after work! I bought a pumpkin and some toothpaste.

Random, I know, but we were out...

and I wanted a pumpkin.

So, then I proceeded to work and clocked in ten minutes early. I was supposed to be a technician today, but I was up front in reception training our new receptionist. I love teaching, so it's been fun training her, and she's doing great!!

After my shift, I came straight home and instantly started cleaning the house. Since Wednesday was mine and Jared's anniversary, my family is coming over tonight for a little celebration. I'm excited! I went on to sweep and mop the floors and declutter, which basically means throwing everything in the garage and telling my family not to open the door. But, since we just moved we're still figuring out places for everything. The garage is a disaster and it gives me anxiety whenever I open the door. I have to tell myself not to open it. HA!

That's today! I'm currently sitting at my kitchen table eating some leftover shepherds pie and Jared is getting the corn hole game that we still have at the apartment. We're going to set that up in the backyard and carve the pumpkin I bought with the kiddos. I'm excited to roast some seeds!

I hope y'all continue to have a good rest of your weekend!
