Day 23: A Letter to Someone...

Anyone.

I can't even remember that last time I wrote an actual letter to someone. It's been a long time for sure, but I kind of miss those days where a letter was written with good ol' fashion pen and paper.
I have no idea who I would write a letter to or what the heck I would say. That's probably one reason why this post has taken me so long to publish, and I'm sorry about that. I was hoping this 30 Day Writing Challenge would've been way done by now, but I've been super busy and dragging on these last few days.
So, after days and days of thinking, this letter is to you.
That's right. YOU. Whoever is reading this and needs to hear it.
Dear reader,
I'll just start by saying I'm not very good at writing letters, but hopefully we can all get past that. So, this year is almost over! Can you believe it?! This year of 2020 has been so strange to say the least and offered total life changes for everybody. Some in good ways and some in bad. It seems as though society this year has only focused on the bad, but with everything the media puts out there it's so easy to only think about things that weren't quite ideal this year (like living our lives through masks). I will admit for a while I did as well. For months the only thing on tv, radio, or social media was COVID-19. Then it was the election. They may be only two things (with other little things in between), but those two things took up the entire year.
I don't know about you, but I was definitely looking forward to the Summer Olympics and the KY Derby. Both of which were ultimately cancelled due to corona. Yes, we did eventually have the Derby and it was still amazing, but what about those Olympics?!
We all just have to keep in mind that these things like COVID and the election (hopefully) aren't going to be forever and there's a light at the end of the tunnel. We just have to ignore the media for a bit and look between the lines at the good things, like my husband and I recently having our two year anniversary or that it's my 28th birthday next Saturday, and that I transferred jobs and couldn't be happier with that decision. I want you to think about what good things happened to you during this crazy year. Life goes on, people. It may not go on in the way we think or plan, but guess what...it's still going whether you're ready or not.
Keep you're head up and shoulders strong!
Love,
Your blogger
