Day 26: My School

So it's been quite a few years since I've been in school. I graduated high school in 2011 and college in 2015. I guess I can talking about my college years because that will be more interesting.

So, basically right after HS I went to school at Daytona State College to pursue my A.A. in Environmental Science. I took all of the basic prerequisite classes and I was almost ready to graduate, but then I saw that Eastern Florida State College had an A.S. Veterinary Technician program and I had always wanted to work with animals. Instead of graduating at DSC I transferred and got accepted into the Vet Tech program at EFSC in Cocoa, FL.

I believe I had mentioned in other post how I met my college roommate, but here's a little recap.

Orientation was sometime in October, I believe, of 2013 and classes started in January 2014. My mom and I drove the hour to EFSC for Vet Tech orientation and turns out I was the only student (besides one other) that brought her mom. Of course, my mom and the other mom got to talking and both had a fabulous time at our orientation. I met the other mom's daughter, Katie, and we had an instant click. Katie, being from New Hampshire, was looking for a roommate and I was as well so I didn't have to drive the hour every day to and from school. Before Katie and I even said anything, our moms were hooking us up for roommates! It was so crazy, but it worked out perfect. We went through the program together and shared laughs and tears (both good and bad).

And, of course, we had to have a little fun as well! We played of a lot of cards and built some puzzles together on rainy days!

We certainly knew how to have fun!
