A Memory

At 27, almost 28, years old there are a lot of memories to cherish and its hard to pick just one to write about. I scrolled through the endless amount of pictures I have on Facebook coming across the trip to Rome, Italy I took with my mom and sister in 2008, countless memories just from marching band alone, two summers spent in Arizona with my church group, pictures from Vet Tech school, and so many others.
The one memory I've decided to share for this post because it's one I will NEVER forget is my 21st birthday to Las Vegas. That doesn't mean the other memories I've mentioned aren't worth writing about or that Rome wasn't freaking AMAZING. There's just something about this one trip that was extra special.
My entire family had pulled together a lot of money to make this trip happen. No, I didn't go with a bunch of friends and partied it up every night losing hundreds of dollars at the blackjack tables.
Actually, I gained a couple hundred, thanks to my dad for the great blackjack teachings.
I went to Vegas with an even better crowd...

That's right. My mom and amazing stepfather I call dad. Writing this post actually makes me want to cry because this is not something they had to do, but they did for me. They endured my crazy wish to go to Vegas for my 21st.
We did SO many things!! But I mean, it's Vegas. There's a lot to see and do.
Everything was amazing from the small things like fondu and wine to bigger things like riding the Stratosphere and going on the Skywalk at the Grand Canyon.
The Le Reve acrobatic water show was one of the coolest things I think I've ever seen. And of course, we had to visit In N Out burger while we were on the west side!
One thing I won't forget about this trip is when we were in the airport coming home...
So my mom HATES Wheel of Fortune. Like H-A-T-E-S it. Well, in their airport, of course, they're going to have slot machines...it's Vegas. Our gate for the plane was literally right next to the Wheel of Fortune slots. I could literally feel my mom jump in her seat and see her body cringe every time that slot machine screamed "Come on up to play WHEEL OF FORTUNE!" Poor thing...
Love you, mom!
